ZEST – Tote on Ascot, Ellerslie

The Cancer Society is excited to announce its new fundraiser, ZEST, on Sunday 9 July.

ZEST is an alcohol-free extravaganza, showcasing incredible 0% alternatives for you to try this July. Sunday, 9 July, 1pm - 4.30pm.

Come and discover an incredible array of boutique brands and bespoke mocktails, served by specialist mixologists. There will be guest speakers, music and auctions with wonderful prizes. Auckland's movement towards 0% alcohol alternatives is a trend the Cancer Society are in support of.

New Zealand Chef William Mordido and his international award-winning team will be serving a three-course menu made from local seasonal produce.

In 2014, Mordido was named Restaurant Association NZ Chef of the Year and at the International Jeunes des Rotisseurs Competition he came home with a silver medal, the first Kiwi to do so in over 20 years.

ZEST is charity event raising crucial funds to ensure support for New Zealanders going through cancer. Every year 25,000 New Zealanders hear the words ‘you have cancer’ - that’s one in every three people.

All funds raised at ZEST will go directly towards Cancer Society's free support care services including our cancer helpline, specialist counselling, transport and accommodation for individuals and their families during treatment.

No one should have to go through cancer alone and with your support, we can ensure no one will.

If you are setting yourself the challenge of not drinking this July or want to explore non-alcoholic alternatives, join us at Zest! What better way to enjoy an exciting new event while raising money for New Zealanders with cancer.

True happiness comes from the joy of deeds well done, the zest of creating things new. - Antoine de Saint-Exupery
