The Garden current MG Manager Judy is moving on, so this role is to replace her, with some increase of hours to support the expansion of the garden space and increases in their outputs.
The overall purpose of the position is to: develop and implement the planting plans for the market gardens; to make the food production as productive and financially viable as possible; to support volunteer sessions and their farmhands education programme; and to work closely with their Community & Site Manager, and General Manager to ensure the farm is running effectively.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced farmer/market gardener to be part of their small, cohesive team, and to contribute to delivering their vision for a more sustainable food system by demonstrating regenerative farming right in the middle of Auckland.
