Iconic and much-loved local label Pearl was established in 2003 by designer Cris Roberts, who has a true passion for dressing women to look and feel their most beautiful, as well as effortlessly elegant.
Inspired by the languid elegance of 1930's fashion, Pearl's signature aesthetic fuses modern elegance with femininity and timeless design, and their considerable design archive includes bias cut dresses, circle skirts, palazzo pants, cigar pants, wrap blouses and elegant suiting.
Cris consults personally and instinctively with her clients, using existing patterns to create garments for the individual silhouette, and the label also has a history of working with wedding parties - dressing the bride, mother of the bride, mother of the groom, the bridesmaids and guests. Now this has officially evolved into the Pearl Bridal Collection, with plans to work more closely with the world of bridal couture.
“I have a lovely archive of design to develop a bridal collection that is beautiful, simple and really wearable," says the always-charming Cris, “and we are currently working on an international bridal collection, based on our love of fit, fabric, colour and design.”
