Charitable organisation Dress for Success Auckland empowers women to find self-confidence and secure economic independence through providing a dressing and career development service.
The organisation’s highly-anticipated Annual Designer Sale, of designer preloved clothing donations, is your chance to find unique designer labels - clothing, shoes and accessories at a great price, while supporting local communities and being part of the circular economy.
Held over the weekend of August 6 and 7 at Studio 230 in Ponsonby, you can expect special finds from international brands such as Prada, Gucci and Stuart Weitzman, alongside New Zealand designer favourites, including Kate Sylvester, Trelise Cooper, WORLD, Zambesi and Adrienne Winkelmann.
Thanks to many closet clear-outs we have a great range of items up for grabs. The event will be run over two-days with new stock added overnight. Prices range between a very tempting $25-$100, and all garments must pass the Dress for Success’ pre-loved quality standards – some are even new with tags.
Like many local charities, Dress for Success Auckland has suffered a loss of funding from the economic effects of Covid-19. At the same time, as unemployment soars, many more women require their help to re-enter the workforce and become a force for good in their communities. The Designer Sale is the charity’s largest fundraising event for the year, keeping the doors open at its two showrooms in Manukau and Central Auckland. Shop for a cause and do a good deed, and get a great deal.
