Hej hej’s winter ‘22 collection, Let’s Go Outside, is just the pop you need for a mid-year mood boost, with vibrant tones of periwinkle, sage and cobalt chosen to effortlessly complement each other and easily work back with your beloved hej hej pieces from seasons past.
This essential knitwear drop features a new fabrication blend for the season, with a sheer mohair crew neck ideal for layering or chicly showcasing a favourite bra. Constructed from 55 percent kid mohair and 45 percent spun silk, the Creature Comfort Knit in electric cobalt blue is a must-have piece for those who like their knitwear with a side of attitude.
The tightly edited collection consisting of seven pieces also includes a timeless mohair wool-blend cardigan in deep indigo, which is a new style for the brand. Previous best-sellers, the Knitty Gritty Polo and Mellow Puff Knit, have been reimagined for winter ‘22 in a striking periwinkle purple mohair wool fabrication. Hej hej’s always popular beanies are back for the season too, in both periwinkle and sweetpea green.
Thursday 7 July sees the launch of drop two, a collection of trans-seasonal linen pieces designed to be paired back with your favourite knitwear. Designers Alice Isles and Kiki Judd worked with Amber Rixon of Still Life to create the hero Liberty-inspired floral print, which pulls in green and purple tones from drop one for easy styling.
With a Bachelor of Design in Textiles and a background in fashion and garment construction, Rixon creates her patterns through both hand drawing and painting and has previously developed prints for the likes of J.Crew, Saint Holiday and Teva. The uber-feminine floral print is available in both the mini Bright Side Dress and midi Long Puff Sleeve Dress.
Linen pieces in jade green and indigo blue perfectly complement the floral print. The Silver Lining dress from the previous AW ‘22 collection, Me Myself and hej hej, is back with its Little House on the Prairie vibes, this time with a modern twist in brilliant jade linen. The Drop Shoulder dress in Indigo with cream overstitch is destined to become a wardrobe staple thanks to its versatility and go-anywhere colourway. The matching Ebb & Flow Pant is just the trouser you need for both work and play, too.
