Last year local resident John Kirman and his family transformed their front garden on Williamson Avenue into a space where they grow herbs and vegetables, along with a few flowers to add a bit of colour.
As John explained, "It’s quite unusual to have the garden on the front like this but we really love it and we get inundated with compliments from people walking by who have watched it flourish over the last 12 months.
"I aim to give people some inspiration to get out in the garden and grow your own food. Dig up some of the lawn and make it productive."
