International Kiwi success story Trish Peng opens new Ponsonby location bridal flagship store.
Kiwi couture bridal designer and modern wedding icon Trish Peng, today announces the opening of her new Central Auckland bridalwear flagship store due to growing demand for New Zealand custom bridal design.
Located in Ponsonby’s Mackelvie Street – the flagship epitomises Peng’s acumen for premium luxe bridal wear and feminine flare, which encompasses her brand image.
The first store of it’s kind in Trish’s plans for international growth; the new concept store will not only be a New Zealand destination for complete custom design, but also semi-custom design for brides seeking a personal touch to Peng’s original collection garments, all bundled through a one of a kind luxury bridal experience.
Peng, who curates only 53 custom dresses a year will use the space as a creative hub to not only engage with brides and wedding personnel on a daily basis – but also host international industry guests.
With a growing client base both locally and internationally, in particular a steady celebrity clientele in Los Angeles, Peng will now only be seeing 50 New Zealand brides a year for exclusive custom design.
“The demand for bridal couture design in New Zealand has been growing over the past year. Our weekends have been booking up 2-3 months in advance”
In a personalised approach, the flagship will offer one-on-one intimate consultations with Peng.
Designing around 80 custom New Zealand brides at any one time, Peng says the demand for both her custom designs and yearly collections in New Zealand was the motivation behind her Auckland expansion.
With the ensured promise of excellent service, a glass of champagne on arrival for brides and their entourage, this concierge-like bridal destination will be a one-stop shop for customisation.
Peng promising in her offering, live sketching of dresses and top quality choices of extravagant fabrics, lace, and beading sourced locally and worldwide.
The store will also house a collection of bridal accessories from robes, veils, jewellery, shoes, to boob tape and spanx.
Among other things, the locale has a complete new fit out including a grand pink door entrance, custom six seater blush lounger, gold racks, and a feminine white, gold, and blush theme throughout; the store is set to place New Zealand bridal couture on an international stage.
“It’s important Kiwi women have the opportunity to experience a luxurious wedding offering with complete poise and ease – globally, there are multiple flagship stores like what I’m about to offer… I’m really excited to help Kiwi brides make their special day as special as can be”, says Peng.
With a knack for making headlines, Peng recently released the world’s first reversible dress – in a collection which she debuted at New York Bridal Week in 2019.
Renowned for wowing audiences with show stopping creations, Trish Peng also made worldwide headlines in 2016 with a record-breaking 25-metre long train.
In 2017, the designer made headlines again for her wedding dress design that was made entirely out of flowers and only lived for three hours out of water.
Trish Peng’s Auckland flagship opened in March.
