The Post Office and Goldilocks celebrate the women behind Westpac NZ’s Women in Business campaign
There’s something fitting about a campaign celebrating women in business being brought to life by a creative and production team predominantly made up of women.
For Westpac’s latest Women in Business campaign, The Post Office production company, joined forces with creative agency Goldilocks to tell the story of Georgie, owner of Ponsonby florist Greenpoint and a Westpac customer.
Georgie is one of a growing number of women building businesses in New Zealand. Her story isn't just about what she has built, it’s about the community she has found along the way.
Founder of re:ampd, Marisa Fong, also features. She has built a community of female founders who support, connect and champion one another. That spirit of women building businesses together sits at the heart of Westpac’s Women in Business initiative.
For The Post Office, the message of the campaign was reinforced by the fact that 13 women were involved in the shoot, across the client, agency and production teams.
Jackie Gulik, Executive Producer and Co-Founder of The Post Office, says the makeup of the team happened organically.
“We didn’t set out to assemble a predominantly female team, it just felt like a really natural fit. Having so many wāhine involved in bringing the story to life made the whole production feel particularly meaningful.”
Rather than focusing solely on the conventional markers of business success, the work celebrates the people and relationships behind it so we took a moment to pause and celebrate everyone who was working hard behind the scenes. The women (and men) whose talent, energy and hard work helped bring Georgie’s story to life.
“At the end of the shoot, before we called it a day, we gathered the female members of the team together for a group photo. It was actually a really special moment to stand together and acknowledge the mahi and each other,” says Gulik.
Hannah Bay, Head of Marketing Westpac said it was important to us that this campaign featured a real customer with a genuine story to tell.
“Georgie from Greenpoint reflects the resilience and ambition we see in women business owners across Aotearoa every day. Everyone in the team loved being on set for this shoot - it was really special to celebrate the amazing things women in business can achieve in the company of women excelling in their fields,” says Bay.
