Winetopia Auckland - New Zealand's biggest wine weekend is back, returning to the Viaduct Events Centre on 7 - 8 August 2026.
This year's theme, Taste World-Class, invites visitors to discover the wines, winemakers and stories that have helped establish New Zealand as one of the world's most exciting wine-producing nations.
Curated by Lemongrass Productions, Winetopia brings together more than 50 premium wineries from around the country, offering visitors the chance to meet winemakers, sample hundreds of wines and enjoy a weekend dedicated to New Zealand's vibrant wine culture.

World-Class Tastings and Entertainment
From tastings, expert-led masterclasses and much, much more, visitors can share in the passions and craftsmanship behind our world-class wine industry. Bringing the weekend to life, comic legend Ben Hurley returns to the Winetopia Main Stage heading a special line-up of guests, live music and a host of food and wine experiences across all three sessions.
Introducing The Future is Now – A Showcase of Auckland's Rising-Star Chefs
New to this year’s Winetopia Culinary Programme is The Future is Now - a new series showcasing the skills and talent of six rising-star chefs from Auckland's top restaurant kitchens. Each will design a dish to pair with a wine from one of the country's most respected producers.
Adding to the overall food and wine experience, visitors can also enjoy signature dishes from pop-up restaurants throughout the weekend, while discovering and purchasing artisan products from some of the country's finest producers.
The Premium Lounge Experience
Alongside the festival programme, Winetopia's Premium Lounge offers exclusive access to some of the weekend’s finest moments. Premium Ticket holders are welcomed with an arrival tasting of Allan Scott Cecilia Vintage Méthode Traditionnelle, paired with Mahurangi Oysters, before enjoying a curated series of special tastings — including an exclusive ‘Meet the Winemaker’ series — at no additional cost. Additional lounge inclusions are a dedicated Winetopia Concierge and complimentary coat check.
