Directed by Neil Ieremia, ONZM, this October, BLACK GRACE returns with their fourth season of Company B entitled “The Eggyssey” (say it in a deep voice).
Which came first, the chicken or the egg?
A journey into eggistentialism …
Ideas will be laid.
Some eggs will crack.
Some will hatch.
You have to break a few eggs to make an omelette …

Led by Founding Artistic Director, Neil Ieremia, ONZM, six chicks from the inaugural Black Grace Academy unite with Black Grace Hens and Cocks to bring you an eggcelent hour of original dance.
For the very first time, Company B will be staged at the new Black Grace Fale, a cage-free state-of-the-art studio and event space located in Auckland Central (near Karangahape Road) from 20-31 October.
So don’t be a chicken … come and egg us on.
The Black Grace permanent dancers are; Demi-Jo Sefo, Rodney Tyrell and Faith Schuster.
Joining them are returning Company B alumni; Azael Faiva, Alex Lamm and Viliamu Yandall along with the new 2026 members; Khalen Quensell, Belize Schroeder and Thea Rockel.
Company B is produced by Black Grace and supported by Auckland Live a division of Tātaki Auckland Unlimited, Creative New Zealand, One Foundation, Pub Charity Ltd and Four Winds Foundation.
Tickets to Company B will go on sale 16 September through Ticketmaster.
