Yola Ponsonby is a modern Lebanese bistro opened in Ponsonby Central by Elie Assaf and Keelan Bowkett-Assaf, the duo behind the cult-favorite Lebanese Grocer. Inspired by Assaf’s mother, Yola, featuring a warm, colorful design decorated with 1970s and 1980s family photographs from Lebanon. Menu Highlights: Lebanese Grocer dips with warm bread, shared plates, grill skewers, tuna kibbeh, and Tony's Fried Chicken with habanero hot sauce, red pepper caramel, and toum.
