An unmissable Easter weekend of live music on Waiheke Island...
Easter weekend just got a whole lot smoother. The Waiheke Jazz & Blues Festival returns in 2025, offering four days of world-class music, fine wine, and relaxed island vibes. Set against the stunning backdrop of Waiheke’s vineyards, this year’s festival takes place across two iconic venues: Goldie Estate and Batch Winery.
From Good Friday to Easter Monday, expect a lineup of powerhouse performers, all just a 40-minute ferry ride from downtown Auckland. Whether you're planning a day trip or making a weekend of it, leave the car at home— Fullers360 ferry and bus packages make getting there easy.
What’s on:
Fullers360 GOOD FRIDAY GROOVE – Goldie Estate
Friday 18 April, 12 – 5pm
Kicking off the festival in high-energy style at Waiheke’s pioneering vineyard, Goldie Estate, the Fullers360 Good Friday Groove delivers an all-star cast of talent. Expect show-stopping vocals from Annie Crummer and Lou’ana, high-energy acoustic fusion with White Chapel Jak, and big-band swing courtesy of WBB Big Band. This family-friendly event is perfect for enjoying an afternoon outdoors with great food, wine, and superb sounds. Pack a picnic blanket and your dancing shoes.
BLUES REVUE – Goldie Estate
Saturday 19 April, 12 – 5pm
Blues lovers, this one’s for you. A mix of legendary and contemporary artists take the stage to bring the blues alive. Midge Marsden, Hammond Gamble, George Washingmachine, The Lightning Brothers, The Flaming Mudcats, WBB Big Band, and Waiheke’s own Solomon Cole deliver the goods. Goldie Estate will be serving up a Southern-style menu to match—think smokey flavours, slow-cooked BBQ meats, and Cajun shrimp.
JAZZ SUNDOWNER – Goldie Estate
Sunday 20 April, 2 – 6pm
Sunday is all about jazz, and this lineup does not disappoint. Experience the sounds of the UK’s number one jazz clarinettist Adrian Cox and his trio, alongside local icons Nairobi Trio, jazz-funk powerhouse Big Tasty, The Madeleines, and Australian greats George Washingmachine, Clare O’Meara and the WBB Big Band. Two stages will keep the music flowing for a golden afternoon at Goldie Estate.
JAZZ LONG LUNCH – Batch Winery
Monday 21 April, 1 – 4pm
The festival wraps up in style with the now-legendary Jazz Long Lunch at Batch Winery, featuring jazz favourites like Boplicity, Nairobi Trio, George Washingmachine, Clare O'Meara, and the Adrian Cox trio. This long lunch is as much about the music as it is about the setting, perched on a hillside with panoramic views over Waiheke, Batch’s laid-back vibe pairs perfectly with their vino and an indulgent three-course sharing menu. It’s become a signature event, and a fitting finale to the festival.
