Whittaker’s is celebrating the festive season with the launch of its first-ever Christmas window pop-up. The magical, hand-crafted window is located on Auckland’s Ponsonby Road, right beside the famous Franklin Road Christmas lights.
Launching on 6 December, the animated Christmas window brings to life a behind-the- scenes peek into a fictional Whittaker’s Whimsical Chocolate Pods factory, where chocolate, craft and Christmas magic come together. Designed to delight Chocolate Lovers of all ages, the installation has been completely handcrafted out of paper and features moving parts.
“We wanted to create something truly special for the community this Christmas – a joyful experience that captures the spirit of Whittaker’s and the magic of the season,” says Soraya Cottin, Whittaker’s CMO. “This popup is our way of sharing a little extra delight with Chocolate Lovers this festive season, whether they’re passing by en route to the Franklin Road lights or making a special trip with family and friends.”
Alongside the window installation, visitors will be able to purchase Whittaker’s
Chocolate Pods, including the newly released Chocolate Pods Collection featuring four delicious flavours, and other gifting products. Media Preview – 5 December
Media are invited to an exclusive first look on Friday 5 December, with viewing available anytime between 6pm–9pm. Attendees will have the chance to explore and photograph the installation before it opens to the public, meet members of the Whittaker’s team, and collect a small goodie bag on arrival.
Public Opening – 6 December
The Whittaker’s Christmas window pop-up officially opens to the public on Saturday 6 December and will run until 22 December. The pop-up is free to visit, making it the perfect addition to an evening stroll to the Franklin Road lights or a festive outing with family.
