Truffle Season is back at Bar Albert and voco Auckland this June

Mozzarella & Co. and Bar Albert at voco Auckland City Centre are marking winter truffle season with a line-up of truffle-infused dishes, cocktails, and a bespoke baked camembert that's making its Auckland debut. 

 

Across both venues, menus feature freshly shaved Black Périgord truffle, sourced from George's Truffles in the Tasman District of the South Island, with the harvest between June and August. Truffle lovers can enhance their lunch or dinner experience by adding freshly shaved truffle to any dish for just $12 — an indulgent touch of edible 'black gold' to their plate. 

 

Relaxed, all-day trattoria Mozzarella & Co. is offering a signature truffle pizza ($42) headlining the seasonal offerings, featuring bechamel sauce, mozzarella cheese, field mushroom, spinach and freshly shaved truffle - a vegetarian indulgence that umami aficionados will appreciate. 

 

Bar Albert's Truffle Cocktail: Back by popular demand, Bar Albert’s winter season is elevated with its famous truffle cocktail, specially crafted to complement the unique flavour profile of the fantastic fungi. Bar Albert's limited edition truffle cocktail ($29) is a refined combination of truffle-infused 12 Tides Vodka from Waiheke Distilling Co., Cointreau and Amaro Montenegro – and set to get tastebuds talking. 

 

Baked Truffle Camembert: Bar Albert is also the exclusive Auckland venue for a new fungi-forward addition: the Baked Truffle Camembert ($34). The 115g single-serve portion is bespoke-made for voco Auckland by Over the Moon Dairy - a Putaruru, Waikato producer with more than 17 years of award-winning cheesemaking behind them. Baked and served with pretzel sticks, the Baked Truffle Camembert is a rich, sharing-friendly centrepiece for any truffle occasion, and available exclusively at the hotel bar for the next two months.
