The Great Kiwi Music Festival

The Great Kiwi Music Festival
The Great Kiwi Music Festival to debut on Waiheke Island next Waitangi Weekend with the biggest line up of NZ bands on Waiheke ever with Th’Dudes, Jordan Luck Band, Stellar*, Hello Sailor & more.
A bold new event is set to become a fixture of the Kiwi summer. The Great Kiwi Music Festival will hold its inaugural festival on Sunday 7 February 2027 at Wild Estate on Waiheke Island, launching as an annual celebration of everything that makes Aotearoa special: homegrown kiwi music, culture, food and wine.
Created by Honey Badger Events, The Great Kiwi Music Festival is built around a simple idea – a day to come together and celebrate being a Kiwi. Set across the vineyards of Wild Estate over the long Waitangi weekend, and just a short ferry ride from central Auckland, the festival pairs a full day of live music (2:00pm to 10:00pm) with the best of local food and wine in one of the country’s most beautiful settings.
The inaugural lineup brings together generations of much-loved New Zealand talent – Th’ Dudes, Jordan Luck Band, Stellar* and Hello Sailor – a bill spanning some of the most iconic songs in Kiwi music history.
Positioned as one of the most exciting new music events on the New Zealand summer calendar, The Festival aims to attract attendees from across the country looking for a premium festival experience with a strong focus on music, connection and entertainment.
“I want this to be an annual celebration of being a Kiwi. I want everyone to celebrate our beautiful country, it's amazing musicians, food, wine, summer and more,” says Donny Ryan CEO of Honey Badger Events.
