Regal Drycleaners Partners with Everlasting to Offer Free Clothing Pickup for Charity.
This August Month-long donation drive has already collected an estimated 2,500+ pieces of clothing and driven a surge in bookings that briefly crashed Regal's website.
Regal Drycleaners has partnered with Everlasting, a charity supporting women rebuilding their lives, to run a city-wide clothing donation drive throughout August 2026, giving locals an easy way to turn a closet clear-out into someone else's fresh start.
As at 12 August 2026, less than two weeks into the drive, Regal has collected an estimated 2,500+ pieces of donated clothing. Demand has been strong enough that Regal's booking website briefly went down under the load, with traffic spiking to an estimated 350% of its usual volume.
The idea behind the drive is simple: Regal's delivery drivers are already on the road across Auckland every day, so offering free collection of donated clothing alongside its usual pickups costs the business very little, while making it dramatically easier for people to donate rather than let clothing sit unused at the back of a wardrobe.
Every donation goes to Everlasting, which redistributes clothing to women rebuilding their lives — through its retail store, community market days, and clothing "base kits" and styling sessions, given directly to women referred through partner charities, health services, and social agencies.
"When I heard what Anna was doing with Everlasting, it resonated straight away," said Kate Mitchell, Co-Owner and Managing Director of Regal. "We've been blown away by the response — we're not even two weeks in, and people started booking the moment we announced it, which tells us they already had the stuff sitting there ready to go, just needing an easy way to get it to where it is needed. A lot of people want to help, but don’t always have the time or the means to practically do it. Our drivers already cover almost every suburb in Auckland, so this was a natural way to put that network to work for something bigger."

Under the initiative, Regal offers free collection of gently-used clothing donations from households across Auckland, using its existing delivery network. Participants do not need to be an existing Regal customer or have a current drycleaning order to take part. As a thank you for their donation, participants also receive a $20 drycleaning credit, redeemable on online orders, valid for three months.
The donation drive runs for the duration of August 2026 and is available to residents within Regal's Auckland delivery zone. Free collection can be arranged through Regal's website, where an address checker confirms eligibility for pick-up.
