Meet Kate – Founder of Matcha Matcha
This year marks 10 years of Matcha Matcha, and we’re so excited to be celebrating with our longtime friend and collaborator, Kate, who created NZ’s first premium organic matcha brand.
“Matcha Matcha started when I realised my daily coffee wasn’t serving me — but I still wanted that comforting morning ritual. At the time, there were no high-quality matcha options in NZ, so I created my own. I launched Matcha Matcha at the Grey Lynn Farmers Market and still have customers from those early days! And I’ll always be grateful to Little Bird for being our very first café and stockist.”
