Australasian activewear brand LSKD will launch its 44-piece 2026 Breast Cancer Awareness Collection on Tuesday 29 September at 5pm AEST, with 5% of total collection sales donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF).
This year, LSKD is putting its community at the centre of the collection, creating activewear that not only raises awareness and funds for breast cancer research, but responds to the real experiences of women affected by breast cancer.
The collection introduces the Empowered Sports Bra, created in collaboration with 10 members of the LSKD Community who have experienced breast cancer and undergone surgery, including mastectomies.
“We received feedback from our community that we were missing a sports bra designed specifically for those who have experienced breast cancer and surgery. That feedback was the starting point,” says Anthea Fox, LSKD Senior Product Developer.
“We worked with 10 community members to develop the bra from the ground up. From easier dressing to accommodating prostheses and reducing pressure around surgical scarring, every detail was shaped by their experiences and tested by them. We wanted to create something that helps women move with confidence, without compromising on comfort or functionality.”
The result is the Empowered Sports Bra - a medium-support style designed to make getting dressed and moving more comfortable. A front zip with a safety hook allows for easier dressing and undressing without overhead reaching, while shifted internal side seams help minimise pressure around surgical scarring. The bra was developed with the understanding that there is no one-size-fits-all solution for women affected by breast cancer, and that what feels comfortable and supportive will be different for every woman.
Dual prosthesis entry and placement points at the side and shoulder seams offer flexibility for women using breast prostheses, while an ultra-soft FLXCotton inner lining helps protect sensitive skin from friction. The bra combines these considered details with LSKD’s performance-driven approach, featuring REP Fabric with four-way stretch, moisture-wicking and quick-dry properties, alongside racerback shaping and targeted ventilation.
For LSKD, the Empowered Sports Bra is first and foremost a response to the women in our community who told us there was a need for it. It isn't intended to be a one-size-fits-all answer, but rather one considered option shaped by the lived experiences of the women who helped create it. Ultimately, the goal is to listen, raise awareness and support more women to feel comfortable and confident in movement, while contributing to the work being done to prevent and better understand breast cancer.
The 2026 Breast Cancer Awareness Collection continues LSKD’s commitment to supporting breast cancer research, with 5% of total collection sales donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF). To date, LSKD has donated more than $330,000 to NBCF through its ongoing support of breast cancer research and awareness. The campaign also shares the stories of women in the LSKD community who have experienced breast cancer.
