This secluded vineyard retreat offers guests the rare opportunity to stay at the heart of one of the country’s most iconic wineries, overlooking the very vines that helped put New Zealand sauvignon blanc on the world stage forty years ago.
Set on Cloudy Bay’s original Marlborough site, The Shack’s private, self-contained guest home accommodates up to eight guests across four ensuite bedrooms. An expansive living space, gourmet kitchen, and sweeping views across the Wairau Valley create a stay that is both refined and relaxed – in a place that really feels like quintessential Marlborough.
Alongside The Shack, a number of bespoke, curated experiences have been thoughtfully reimagined to help bring guests closer to the land, the people and the craft of the Marlborough region.
Days might begin with birdsong and coffee, with a view of the Richmond Ranges followed by guided tastings and a bespoke lunch shaped by the freshest local produce. Alternatively, guests can kick back and enjoy a visit to the beautiful Cellar Door or a contemporary Japanese dining experience at the winery’s restaurant, SAKU, where seasonal dishes are thoughtfully paired with Cloudy Bay’s wines.
