A message from Sid, the founder of Sidart, "We don't usually send two emails in one week, but we've noticed some confusion following the recent announcement about Sidart's closure, and we wanted to clear things up.
"Sidart, the Ponsonby restaurant we founded in 2009, has officially closed its doors. However, we sold Sidart in 2021, and while it's heartbreaking to see the restaurant where our journey began close, it is no longer part of our group.
"We want to reassure you that our restaurants, The French Café and Cassia at SkyCity, are both fully operational, and we're excited to welcome you there soon."
Hospitality is tough right now with the closing of SPQR and Ponsonby Road Bistro...we hope things will improve.And we say thanks to Sidart for everything - they will be sadly missed.
