Life moves fast. Wildcraft doesn’t. And for one day, we’re inviting Auckland to slow down with us. On Saturday 14 November, The Wild Table comes to Ponsonby for a free tasting experience that puts bread at the centre of the table.
For one day, Studio230 will be reclaimed by the wild, with five immersive tasting worlds to explore - from a wildflower meadow and berry patch to a vegetable garden, the seaside and a bakery.
Guests can follow their appetite through unexpected pairings created by chef Tushar Grover of Rhu, from whipped ricotta and garden vegetables to seafood-inspired creations and indulgent butters. There’s plenty to tear into, with Wildcraft’s Oat with Honey & Spelt and Kibbled Grains & Seeds loaves inviting a little experimentation.
Behind it all is a bread range that refuses to rush. Wildcraft is made using a dough that’s slow fermented for 24 hours to develop deeper, more complex flavours. Turns out, waiting tastes pretty good.
Visitors will also take home Wildcraft loaves and Tushar’s recipe cards, so they can get a little wild in their own kitchens.
