A celebration of craft, provenance and the very best of Aotearoa
New Zealand Fashion Week (NZFW) has recently announced an exciting collaboration with Auckland’s acclaimed bakery and hospitality brand Daily Bread, bringing an elevated, chef-led food experience to the event when it returns to Shed 10 from 17–22 August 2026.
The collaboration reflects a shared philosophy between two proudly owner-operated New Zealand businesses built on craftsmanship, creativity and an unwavering commitment to quality. Just as New Zealand's leading designers transform premium materials into garments with purpose and longevity, Daily Bread approaches food with the same respect for provenance, local producers and meticulous execution.
Together, NZFW and Daily Bread will celebrate the makers, growers, artisans and creatives who continue to shape contemporary Aotearoa culture. "We're thrilled to welcome Daily Bread to New Zealand Fashion Week," says Liam Taylor. NZFW Executive Director. "The most authentic partnerships are built on shared values, and this is exactly that. Fashion and food are both expressions of creativity, craftsmanship and storytelling. Daily Bread's commitment to local producers, exceptional quality and genuine hospitality mirrors the values we champion through New Zealand fashion. Together we're creating an experience that feels unmistakably Aotearoa, celebrating the incredible talent and expertise that exists right here at home."
Leading the culinary direction is renowned New Zealand chef Tom Hishon, co-founder of Daily Bread and formerly of Kingi and Orphans Kitchen. Known for championing seasonal ingredients, local suppliers and refined yet approachable dining, Hishon will oversee the hospitality experience across the week. "We're excited to bring Daily Bread and an elevated food experience to New Zealand Fashion Week this year,” says Hishon. "I believe there are many common principles and threads we share together with our local designers, creativity, craft and utilising the natural resources around us to create a narrative that is unique to this part of the world.
"Guests can expect two distinct Daily Bread experiences throughout the week: A dedicated Daily Bread Pop-Up Café will welcome visitors into the precinct with exclusive pastries created especially for NZFW alongside signature Daily Bread favourites, Coffee Supreme coffee, All Good plant milks, Liquid Lightning juices and a selection of special event-only offerings."
Beyond the café, the wider food and beverage programme will be curated by Hishon and the Daily Bread team, delivering a hospitality experience that extends far beyond what guests would traditionally expect from a fashion event. Across the week, guests can expect a menu of thoughtfully curated dishes, from Daily Bread Hot Spelt Pretzels with whipped goat’s cheese & hot honey, to Fiordland Wapiti croquettes and artisan charcuterie plates. In the VIP Lounge, the offering steps up to include separate day and evening menus, including an afternoon ‘high tea’, a daily Te Matuku oyster hour, post-show desserts and plenty of Champagne to boot.
The hospitality programme brings together some of New Zealand's leading culinary and events talent, including celebrated NZ chef Tom Hishon, event manager Lauren Grima, whose experience includes both Melbourne Fashion Festival and Australian Fashion Week, hospitality creative Al Keating, beverage direction from Dave Horan and Good Spirits with a dedicated cocktail activation, Daily Bread Brand & Marketing Manager Tessa Wilson, and many familiar faces from the Daily Bread team led by Robbie and Donnie.
The partnership reinforces NZFW's commitment to championing New Zealand excellence across every aspect of the event, from the runway to the dining experience, showcasing the creativity, craftsmanship and collaborative spirit that define modern Aotearoa.
