Yes, we there will be an Auckland Vintage Textile Fair this year. This is to be held again at Alexandra Park Raceway on Sunday 23 August, from 10am – 3pm. They will have many of their regular exhibitors from past events, and some new ones as well.
As with the Auckland Vintage Textile Fairs they have held in the past, at this event there will be a very comprehensive array of all things vintage and antique textile, all 1980’s and older, and no reproductions or recycling. There will be clothing, hats, handbags, jewellery, fabrics, buttons, patterns, lace, trims, linens, gloves, upholstery fabrics, furs, books, and as usual so much more, and all for sale.
This is a wonderful opportunity to obtain the widest variety of all things genuine vintage textile and related, and to shop for current and historic fashion looks in the most sustainable way.
This special event will be of interest to fashion students and designers, collectors, museums, quilters, creatives, needleworkers, historians, jewellers, film stylists, textile designers, theatre companies, or anyone with an interest in antique and vintage textiles and accoutrements.
