Cassia has arrived in Grey Lynn with a winter pop-up at Ozone Coffee Roasters, bringing Chef Sid Sahrawat’s celebrated modern Indian cuisine closer to home.
We asked Chand, Sid’s wife to tell us more, “ We are open Wednesday to Sunday for dinner, so you can enjoy bold Indian flavours, warm hospitality, and all your Cassia favourites while we prepare our new CBD home.”
"My Cassia must-orders start with the pani puri, a vibrant burst of flavour that wakes up the palate from the very first bite. If you enjoy a little heat, the goat's cheese pao with naga pickle and sweetcorn is impossible to go past, while the mughlai lamb chops with smoked yoghurt and coriander salad remain legendary for a reason. New to the menu, Sid's Delhi-style butter chicken is the version he loves to cook at home, and the fresh burrata with pickled chilli salan, turmeric pickle and cashew praline is already one of my favourites."
