The charitable organisation’s annual sale offers special designer finds, at even more special prices, in order to continue their work empowering women in the workplace and our wider community.
From standing tall as you put on a perfectly fitted blazer to striding ahead in a polished new pair of shoes, Dress for Success Auckland appreciates the transformative power of clothing. Its showrooms in Manukau and Central Auckland offer a safe space for women to try on corporate outfits and get ready for interviews – an essential step in the right direction, followed by ongoing career support. In turn finding work and securing economic independence, Dress for Success Auckland’s clients become a force for good in their communities.
The charitable organisation’s Designer Sale is its largest fundraising event for the year, helping keep showroom doors open at a time when unemployment is on the rise. Thanks to many stylish supporters clearing out their wardrobes over New Zealand’s lockdown, this year’s Designer Sale donations are the biggest and best yet.
At Studio 230 in Ponsonby this weekend, expect to find pre-loved pieces from New Zealand designer favourites, including Karen Walker, Kate Sylvester, Juliette Hogan, World, Zambesi, Adrienne Winkelmann and Kathryn Wilson, as well as international labels of note, such as Prada, Gucci, Fendi and Stuart Weitzman. The womenswear prices range between a very tempting $25-$100, and sizes range from 8-18.
Finding a unique designer piece, for a fraction of the price, while keeping clothing in the circular economy and helping local communities – if you are looking for an excuse to shop this weekend, this is it.
