Prepare your taste buds for Auckland’s most flavoursome festival

The Auckland Night Noodle Markets is kicking off at Victoria Park this Friday for 10 consecutive nights from 4 to 10pm daily*

“The longer summer nights are settling in and we can’t wait to provide the perfect after-work or weekend outing,” says Stuff Events & Sponsorship Director, David Blackwell. “Friends, families, foodies and anyone with a taste for delicious Asian cuisine will be delighted at what’s on offer this year.”

Sam Kaipo from local vendor Mango Madness is excited to return with the crowd-pleasing Pineapple Paradise smoothies: “This is our favourite time of the year - to see Aucklanders fall head over heels for our mouth-watering pineapples.”

Kieran Alexander, owner of Australian vendor Little Kyoto, also can’t wait to offer up his modern Japanese meals: “We're excited to be bringing our yakisoba, takoyaki, and ever-popular Bao trifecta to Auckland for the first time this year.”

Other delights to look out for are Melbourne-based Gelato Messina with their modern-fusion desserts - including ‘Thrilla from Manilla’, a brown sugar and banana gelato wrapped in banana bread and filo pastry, deep-fried and served with custard and chocolate peanut crumb - as well as fellow Melbourne favourite Hoy Pinoy’s famous BBQ skewers and Wellington’s House of Dumplings’ seven gourmet dumpling flavours, to name but a few of the mouth-watering menu items.

Renowned tribute performer Paul Madsen and singer-songwriter Indyah Madsen will be manning the mic on various nights, with lion dancers, taiko drummers, stilt walkers and costume performers all adding to the vibrant market experience. On top of that, free Wi-Fi is available for the first time.

With walkways and bus stops surrounding Victoria Park, event-goers are encouraged to walk or use public transport to get to and from the event.

The event is fully licenced, with Moa Beer and Crafters Union Wine available at the bar, along with a full range of non-alcoholic drinks at the Coca-Cola Caravan.

To speed up payment and cut down queue times, the event is completely cashless; all vendors are equipped with contactless payment facilities (including Apple Pay and Google Pay) and accept all major credit cards (excluding AMEX).
